Fieldwork Support for Client-Moderated Research
A medical device company planned qualitative research on interventional cardiology in Europe. Its own team would write the discussion guide and moderate every interview. What it needed was the right physicians, scheduled and ready.
The brief was 10 interventional cardiologists or electrophysiologists in Europe, all interviewed online by Zoom.
Our role covered the fieldwork end to end:

The client handled the discussion guide and moderation.
The timeline was built around five weeks. Week one covered kick-off, screener sign-off and the start of recruitment. Recruitment continued into week two, with interviews scheduled around the client's moderators. Fieldwork then ran across weeks three to five, at a pace of five to 10 interviews a week, with a final report due a few weeks after kick-off.
Scheduling around the client's availability, not just the physician's, was central to the plan. When the sponsor moderates, every slot depends on two diaries.
This kind of fieldwork-only support suits teams who want direct contact with physicians but don't have the time or networks to find them. It also keeps quality control on recruitment with a specialist partnered.
